Fines state their due date to pay or take action by. Actions include an internal review of the fine, having the matter put before the court, apply for a payment plan, apply to extend the payment period, nominate another driver for driving offences, or pay in full. Fees accumulate the longer you do nothing, except in the case of more serious offences, such as drink driving or excessive speed.
If you continue to take no action, an infringement warrant may be issued against you, allowing bars on renewing car registrations, suspending your licence, wheel clamping, seizure of property, or arrest.
If you want to fight an infringement in court, give Vanessa Ash a call and we’ll assess your case to see if we can help you.
