If your child is being bullied at school, and your pleas for help from the school have remained unanswered, there is action you can take.
Send the school a legal message
Telling the school in no uncertain terms that you expect your child to be protected from bullies can be achieved with some legal advice and a legal letter. While nobody wants to dive into legal action against their child’s school, the school may just need a push to take action. We can help with this with a well-worded letter.
Mediation with the bully
Having parents involved in bullying problems can help resolve them. This may be in a request to the school. Parents most often side with their children, so it’s not necessarily going to be an easy road, but in teaching our children about dispute resolution, having a meeting in which all parties agree to a course of action can be useful.
Intervention orders
An intervention order would be a legal order that kept the bully from being within a certain distance of your child. This could be something reasonable like two metres, but could extend to the bully talking to your child. Any breaches would be considered serious.
If your child is being bullied and you feel like their school is not helping you, we can help.
